Composed by António Ferro (acoustic and electric bass, arrangements and composition), Claus Nymark (trombone), Eduardo Santos (Trumpet and Flugelhorn), Paleka - João Paulo (drums) and João Courinha (soprano, alto and tenor saxophone), KAF was formed in 1990 by António Ferro. This, the first CD of KAF, , "CREPUSCULO DO VINHO", includes guest artists 

Carlos Azevedo (piano), Carlos Bechegas (flute and piccolo), João Nuno Represas (percussion) and Paulo Soares (portuguese guitar). With tracks like "Tiroliroliro", "Vira da Nazaré" or "Pauliteiros do Douro", KAF mixes Portuguese popular music with Jazz. Since its formation in 1990, KAF has realized a range of activities, among which were: concerts in the Hot Clube of Portugal, Jazz Encounters in Évora III, Cycle of Jazz II in Porto, Lisbon Jazz 90, The 7th International Festival of Jazz in Macau, Jazz Encounters in Algarve ’91. " KAF proposes the synthesis of Jazz with Portuguese popular music (...) common points with Carla Bley and the Jazz Composers Orchestra.
