History

Numérica began its activity in October 1990, motivated by the publishing vacuum which existed at that time in the field of Portuguese instrumental music - jazz as well as classical music. Its energies were directed towards Portuguese composers and performers, primarily in the domain of Portuguese classical music, making Numérica one of the main publishers of the genre.  With the scarcity of publishers dedicated to the dissemination of classical music in Portugal (partially dictated by the market) Numérica finds itself each time more the exception to the rule: with over 20 years of activity, it is a reference in the publishing panorama of Portuguese recording. Numérica has exercised continuous activity, publishing 220 titles, of which 130 are classical music.  It has received recognition from the Ministry of Culture as well as other cultural institutions, both private and public. Its catalogue contains composers and performers from throughout Portugal and beyond its borders.
